York Regional Police is releasing photos and continue to seek public assistance in identifying a suspect following a bank robbery in the Town of Georgina.

On Friday, Oct. 23, 2020, at approximately 2:30 p.m., police were called to a bank at 254 Pefferlaw Rd. for a report of a bank robbery. Officers learned that a male entered the bank and made a demand for money while pointing a Taser at an employee. The employee complied and the suspect fled on foot.

Investigators are releasing images of the suspect obtained from video surveillance:

Suspect description:  

  • Male, white 
  • 40 to 50 years  
  • Slim build, short dark hair  
  • Wearing a black T-shirt, a black surgical mask, a green construction jacket 
  • Carrying a re-usable grocery bag

Investigators are seeking any witnesses who may have seen anything suspicious or anyone who may have dashcam footage in the area at the time.
