4 suspects wanted in connection with armed home invasion in Newmarket

At least nine York Regional Police vehicles lined Bondi Avenue in Newmarket following a report of a robbery Monday, Oct. 18.

York Regional Police are seeking four suspects following a home invasion in Newmarket yesterday

Police were called to a home on Bondi Avenue, east of Bayview Avenue at Mulock Drive, at about 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 18 for a report of a robbery. 

Three suspects armed with handguns had forced their way into the home and held the occupants at gunpoint, while a fourth suspect remained in a vehicle outside, police said in a news release. 

Three occupants of the home were struck in the head with the gun and sustained minor injuries, police said. 

The suspects reportedly stole cash and electronics before fleeing in the vehicle. 

The three suspects who entered the home are all described as Black males. At the time of the incident they were wearing black track pants, black hoodies, black face coverings, and gloves. 

Police responded to the incident with a large presence on Bondi Avenue yesterday. 

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking witnesses to come forward.
