Three teenagers were arrested after an armed robbery in Vaughan Saturday night.

Members of the Community Oriented Response (COR) unit were in the area of Canada's Wonderland at Jane Street and Rutherford Road when three youths flagged down an officer to report being robbed by a group of suspects, one armed with a knife, on Saturday, June 10 at about 9:20 p.m., according to a York Regional Police news release.

Officers quickly located and arrested the suspects nearby, seizing a knife and recovering the victims’ property, police said.

A 16-year-old male from Markham is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon, and two 17-year-olds from Toronto are charged with failure to comply with an undertaking.

Unfortunately, the victims left the area before officers concluded their investigation and police would like to speak with them. Any witnesses who may have seen anything, or may have video footage of the area at the time of the incident, are asked to come forward.

Following a number of incidents at and nearby Canada's Wonderland at its May opening, York Regional Police launched Operation Beehave to add to the police presence in the area and to be on hand should issues arise.
