Disco Skating hosted by Newmarket Youth Leadership Group: Local youth are invited to skate like its the 1970s at a free disco skating event hosted by the Newmarket Youth Leadership Group starting at 7 p.m. at Riverwalk Commons outdoor rink. There will be music, a performance by the Newmarket Skating Club, free snacks, and more live entertainment, prizes for the best disco costumes.

Coldest Night of the Year hosted by Inn From the Cold: You can take to the streets in support of Newmarket's Inn From the Cold homeless shelter on the Coldest Night of the Year. Registration opens at 4 p.m., with 2 and 5-km walk options starting and ending at Riverwalk Commons, 200 Doug Duncan Dr., at 5 p.m., with rest stops along the way to warm up with hot beverages, light meal served at 6 p.m. You can register online for free for the family-friendly event, or donate to a participant. Anyone who raises over $150 ($75 for youth) will receive a signature Coldest Night of the Year toque.

Abuse Hurts Charity Euchre Fundraiser: Market Brewing Co., The Mortgage Group and Main Street Realty are co-hosting an epic euchre tournament in support of Abuse Hurts beginning at 6:30 p.m., at 17775 Leslie St., #4, Newmarket. Tickets, $30, include a full night of euchre, snacks, door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and silent auction.There will also be prizes for highest score, most lone hands and a surprise. No team sign-ups. Abuse Hurts is a national, charitable organization that works with children's services, shelters and other agencies to help victims and survivors of abuse.
