It's game on for Newmarket board gaming community (11 photos)

Players of all ages are welcome to the regular Friday night get-togethers

Members of the Newmarket Board Gamers enthusiastically returned to play this month, after many months of pandemic pause.

"I am blown away by the response and can’t wait to play with everyone again," said group organizer Mike Barnett after receiving a full house response to the first meet-up March 25.

You can bring your own game, or play the provided games, and "teachers" are available for those who want to learn to play, he added.

"We encourage gamers of all ages to join us. Family-friendly games will be provided, so bring your children with you and we can teach you a game you can play together."

The next meet-up is Friday, April 8, with reservations required.

The group, which has more than 770 members, meets regularly to play board and card games on Fridays at Cardinal Press on Main St. You can find out more here.
