The Town of Newmarket is preparing to start spring cleaning on its streets this month.
The town’s contractor will begin sweeping the streets April 22, if weather permits. The process removes built-up debris left on the streets from the winter, with additional sweeping to continue through the summer if required.
Residents are asked to refrain from parking on the streets during daytime hours, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., to allow a clear path for the street sweeper.
“We thank residents in advance for their patience as the sweeping crews make their way throughout town,” the municipality said in a news release.
Sweeping will take approximately four weeks to complete. Sweepers will start from the south end of town and move north.
