The Town of Newmarket is closing a lane on Harry Walker Parkway this week for work on a water main.
York Region is installing a new water meter chamber north of the Harry Walker Parkway and Ringwell Drive intersection. The work will require lane restrictions, from Nov. 7 to 14.
“We apologize for the inconvenience and would like to remind motorists to follow the temporary signs and signals if travelling in the area,” the town said.
The region said the new chamber will measure water flow into the watermain.
Although the lane will be closed for one week, the project will be continuing with an expected completion date of spring 2024.
