Ramon Fajardo of East Gwillimbury is $100,000 richer after winning with Instant Gold Pursuit (Game #2411).

Fajardo, who works in the automotive industry, says he's been playing the lottery regularly for 10 years and loves instant games, according to an Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. news release.

"I had never seen the Instant Gold Pursuit game and I liked the look of the ticket, so I gave it a try," he said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.

"I had my ticket on the fridge for the longest time," Fajardo said.

"I thought I won $100 on it so I was about to take it to the store to cash it in, when I noticed there was another side of the ticket to scan.

"I checked it using the OLG app and I was shocked. I called my wife right away – I was freaking out. I needed her to calm me down! She was convinced I was kidding but when she saw the win for herself, she was also shocked!"

Fajardo plans to put his windfall toward bills and will share some with his community food drive. "I will also share some of this with my mom, take a trip to celebrate, and save the rest," he said.

"I am so grateful for this win," he concluded.

Instant Gold Pursuit is available for $25 and the top prize is $100,000.

The winning ticket was purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on Davis Drive in Newmarket.
