Brand-name apparel retailer JCY House, Spirit Halloween, and local home decor shops Neex Concrete and Country Lane are the newest retailers to welcome shoppers at Newmarket's Upper Canada Mall.
A new Dollarama is set to open at the mall later in September.
The Asian-inspired Toronto charcoal ice cream shop iHalo Krunch will open a second location at Market & Co. this month, along with the upscale Kibo Sushi House.
“It is great that we are able to provide our community with these exciting new retail and food locations at UCM during these unprecedented times,” UCM marketing manager Christine Seidman said.
A new shopping experience also includes vending machines by Carlo’s Bake Shop Express and Sock Footage.
And there’s more to come, Seidman added, noting that the local mall continues to adhere to physical distancing and public health protocols to ensure the community feels safe during the COVID pandemic.
Here are the openings coming soon:
- Wizards Emporium: In September, this pop-up will transport Harry Potter fans into the pages of their favorite fantasy series, where they can purchase merchandise and other Harry Potter-themed goodies;
- Clothz: In October, the local boutique from Alliston opens that carries popular brands for men and women;
- The Polar Express: In October, the magical pop-up will feature entertaining vignettes and merchandise from this beloved holiday classic;
- The Kathi Roll Express & Holy Shakes: In November, Indian street food and gourmet fusion milkshakes will bring even more flavour to Market & Co.; and
- Score Pizza: In December, this fast, casual, cravable experience allows guests to build their own stone-fired pizza and sandwiches to enjoy in the restaurant or at home.
UCM’s Fall Market Series kicks off the weekend of Sept. 12 and 13, which consists of three markets from two local organizers, including The Mom Market Aurora and Mama’s Locally.
