Town seeks input on Recreational Program Needs for Persons with Disabilities

Complete a survey or attend a focus group to give feedback on recreational program needs for persons with disabilities

The Town of Aurora has developed a Recreation Needs Assessment for Persons with Disabilities in our community.

Residents, families, caregivers or organizations can provide feedback by completing an online survey or attending an in-person or virtual focus group on selected dates in February. The goal of the survey and these sessions are to identify the recreational program needs and preferences of persons with disabilities in our community, and to develop a comprehensive plan that fulfills these needs.

Once the feedback is compiled and analyzed, staff will prepare an action and implementation plan.

This initiative was identified as an action item within the recently approved Parks and Recreation Master Plan in June 2023. It is also part of the Town’s commitment to reducing and eliminating the barriers to equal access for all residents of Aurora.
