York police on hunt for 2 suspects in Vaughan armed bank robbery

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking assistance to identify suspects following a bank robbery in the City of Vaughan.

On Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, shortly after 12:30 p.m., police were called to a bank located in the area of Islington Avenue and Napa Valley Avenue for a report of a robbery. When officers arrived, they found employees in the bank who were not physically injured. Investigators have determined that two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the bank and made a demand for cash. The employees complied and the suspects fled.

Suspect 1:

  • Male, Black
  • 6’
  • 20 to 25 years

Suspect 2:

  • Male, Black
  • 5’9”
  • 20 to 25 years
  • Armed with a handgun
