Video shows suspect setting tow truck on fire in Markham

Police are looking for suspects after a tow truck was set on fire Thursday in Markham.

At about 12:45 a.m., emergency crews responded to a residence on Williamson Road and found a tow truck engulfed in flames. Markham firefighters extinguished the blaze.

No one was in the truck at the time and there was no damage to the residence. No one was injured.

Surveillance footage shows a four-door sedan parked in front of the residence and the suspect exiting the passenger side. He approaches the tow truck and pours what appears to be accelerant on it before setting it on fire. He returns to the car and leaves the area. The footage can be seen here.
