The York Regional Police Summer Student Employment Program provides valuable paid summer employment opportunities to full-time college or university students who have a genuine interest in a future policing career. Students considering a policing profession will gain exposure to the various police services that can assist them with their future career path decisions.

To be considered, applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university as a full-time student studying Police Foundations, Criminology, Law or related program, with plans to continue in this program of study into the fall semester following their involvement in the York Regional Police Summer Student Employment Program. 

An expressed interest in pursuing a career in the policing profession is required.

Students who successfully complete one summer of employment with York Regional Police are eligible to return for a second consecutive summer of employment. Students will be assigned their location and duties once selected to participate in the program.
