Victim robbed after opening door to armed home invaders in Whitchurch-Stouffville

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking suspects and witnesses following a home invasion robbery that occurred in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

On Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, shortly after 10 p.m., police were called to a residence on Vivian Road near Warden Avenue for a report of a home invasion robbery.

Officers learned that the victim opened his front door when he heard a knock. Three suspects entered the home and grabbed the victim by the throat. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The victim was tied up while the suspects rummaged through the residence and filled bags with items.

The suspects fled the scene in a white SUV.
