Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit have arrested and charged a 20-year-old man with second-degree murder in connection with a death investigation in the City of Vaughan.
On Thursday, May 6, 2021 shortly after 8 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a residence on North Park Road after the caller reported that he found his girlfriend not breathing. When officers arrived, they located a 19-year-old woman who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
After the post-mortem examination conducted by the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service the death was determined to have been a homicide.
On Oct. 13, 2021, officers arrested and charged the accused.

• Raphael Banon, 20, of the City of Vaughan
Charges:
• Second-degree murder
