Two women sexually assaulted by man on Vaughan subway

Police seek witnesses for incident at the TTC subway at Vaughan station on Tuesday

Two women were sexually assaulted by the same male suspect on the TTC subway heading north to Vaughan, York Regional Police said. 

YRP responded to a report of a sexual assault at about 7:40 p.m. Nov. 23. 

A female victim was on the subway heading north when a man reportedly touched her leg and then sat across from her and began masturbating. 

Police said upon arriving at the Vaughan subway station, the suspect proceeded to press himself up against another woman from behind. 

The suspect fled the station before police arrived. 

He is described as a Black male in his 30s. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a beige jacket, grey pants and a black or green balaclava. 

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who can help identify the suspect.

York Regional Police also encourages anyone who feels they may have been a victim of sexual assault to come forward, as there is no statute of limitations to report or prosecute a sexual assault.
