Two victims stabbed several times in Richmond Hill: police

Both are in stable condition after being transported to hospital with serious injuries

Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking witnesses and two suspects after a double stabbing in the City of Richmond Hill.

On Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022 at approximately 2 a.m., York Regional Police responded to an injured person call outside of an establishment located on Highway 7 East at Commerce Valley Drive West. When officers arrived, they located two adult male victims suffering from stab-wound injuries.

Officers learned that two male suspects were waiting outside the establishment when the two victims exited. The suspects ran at the victims and began a physical altercation. One suspect had a knife and stabbed both victims several times.

The two male suspects fled the scene in a dark-coloured vehicle prior to police arriving.

The victims were transported to hospital with serious injuries, where they currently remain in stable condition.

Officers are appealing to any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time who have not yet spoken to police to please come forward.

Investigators are also seeking any video surveillance, cell phone video or dashcam footage from incident.
