Two suspects sought after Markham man shot multiple times

Victim's condition stabilized after being transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a home invasion Monday

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking witnesses and anyone with information following a home invasion in the City of Markham.

On Monday, Aug. 12, 2019 shortly before 2 p.m., police were called to a residence on Boxwood Crescent just south of 14th Avenue for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds inside of the residence. He was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition was stabilized and he will survive his injuries.

Investigators have learned that at approximately 1:40 p.m., a black vehicle backed into the driveway of the residence. Two suspects exited the vehicle and entered the home. While inside the home, the victim was shot multiple times. A short time later the males left the house, got back into the vehicle, and fled.
