Toronto motorcyclist dies following collision in Vaughan

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision involving a motorcycle in the City of Vaughan.

On Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, at approximately 5:30 p.m., police were called to the area of Rutherford Road and Vellore Woods Avenue for a collision involving a motorcycle. When officers arrived they found that a motorcycle had struck a traffic light and the rider was suffering from life-threatening injuries. The rider was transported to hospital where sadly he was pronounced. The rider was identified as a 39-year-old man from the City of Toronto.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to please come forward.
