Toronto man, 25, shot in Vaughan last night

Police located the victim after receiving a call from a hospital that a man had arrived with a gunshot wound

Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking witnesses after a shooting that occurred in the City of Vaughan.

On Friday, April 24, 2020, shortly after 7 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a report of sounds of gunshots on Bachman Drive, which is in the area of Major Mackenzie Drive West and Jane Street.

When officers arrived they located shell casings, but no victim.

Shortly after 7 p.m., police also received a call from a hospital advising that a male had arrived suffering from a gunshot wound. Investigators attended the hospital and were able to identify the victim, a 25-year-old man from the City of Toronto. His injuries are non-life-threatening.

Investigators continue to canvass the area where the shooting occurred for video surveillance and are releasing an image of a suspect vehicle.

  • Black sedan
  • Four-door
