Suspect sought following stabbing in Vaughan

The attack occurred in the parking lot after a dispute in an Interchange Way nightclub

Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking assistance in identifying a suspect after a stabbing in the City of Vaughan.

On Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018 at approximately 6:20 a.m., a 21-year-old male victim reported to York Regional Police that he had been stabbed. The victim reported that he had attended a nightclub located on Interchange Way in Vaughan and got into an argument with a male suspect and a group of his friends.

The argument escalated and became physical inside of the building. The fight was disrupted and the suspect and his group of friends were kicked out of the club. The suspect waited for the victim in the parking lot and when the victim was leaving, the suspect approached him and stabbed him. The suspect fled the scene in a white Mazda.

The victim’s friends rushed him to a hospital in the City of Toronto where he received treatment, then they attended #4 District to report the incident. While the victim was providing information to police he went into medical distress and was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.  

Unknown suspect described as:

  • Male, black
  • Medium build
  • Short black hair
  • Wearing a light-coloured shirt

Suspect vehicle:

  • White Mazda with tinted windows
  • Damage to one of the sides
