Surveillance video captures suspect attempting to break into Newmarket house

A suspect is wanted after he was seen on surveillance video trying to break into a house in Newmarket. 

A man is seen trying to open windows and doors in an attempt to enter a house on Primrose Lane, near Yonge Street and London Road, at about 2 p.m. on Oct. 28, 2021, according to Crime Stoppers York Region's crime of the week. 

The video shows him walking around the house, trying to open one of the doors and peering at a basement window. 

The suspect is wanted by York Regional Police for attempted break and enter.

The suspect is described as a white male, aged 30 to 35. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a thin build and brown hair in a ponytail. He was wearing a blue winter coat, blue jeans, dark shoes, and carrying a black backpack with white writing on it.
