Stolen vehicles recovered, GTA auto theft ring disrupted

A number of vehicles were recovered by police as part of an investigation by the Halton Regional Police Service's Regional Auto Theft Task Force.

The Halton Regional Police Service's regional auto theft task force has recovered multiple stolen vehicles and helped disrupt a GTA-operated organized auto theft network in the process.

On Sept. 8, police executed a search warrant at a shipping business in Orangeville where five stolen vehicles were found and recovered by police.

Police also recovered two stolen vehicles in Newmarket related to the investigation.

No arrests have been made yet in the investigation, which is ongoing.
