Stolen puppy returned to Richmond Hill home

A puppy that was in a vehicle when it was stolen in the City of Richmond Hill has been returned home to its family.

On Sunday, April 26, 2020 at 4:40 p.m., police were called to a condominium building located on South Park Road for a report of a stolen vehicle. When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim who advised she stopped her white Range Rover in front of the condo building and went to the front desk. When she returned, her vehicle was gone, as was her puppy named Prince. A short time later, the stolen vehicle was located in the City of Toronto. The vehicle was unoccupied and the dog was gone.

On Monday, April 27, 2020 at approximately 5 p.m., investigators were advised the dog had been dropped off by an unknown person outside of the family’s residence in the City of Richmond Hill.

Dog returned:
    •    Dog’s name is Prince
    •    Five months old
    •    Husky and Pomeranian mix
    •    White and brown fur

The investigation is ongoing.
