Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking a suspect and witnesses following a shooting that occurred in the City of Richmond Hill.

On Sunday, June 28, 2020, at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a café, on Yonge Street just north of Oxford Street, for a report of a man who was shot.

When officers arrived, they located the victim, a 25-year-old man from the City of Vaughan, who was taken to hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators learned that the victim was outside in the parking lot when he was shot by a suspect described as male, white, approximately 5”10”, brown, buzz-cut hair and wearing a blue PPE mask. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.

Officers are asking any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time who have not yet spoken to police to please come forward. Investigators are also seeking any video surveillance from the area or anyone that may have captured dashcam video on the roadways in the area of any of the incidents.
