A Richmond Hill man has been charged in relation to a sexual assault earlier this month at a fast-food restaurant in Aurora.
York Regional Police say a woman was in the restaurant on First Commerce Drive Aug. 4 when she was approached by a man and touched in a sexual manner without her consent.
An image of the suspect was released to media, resulting in several tips from the public, which helped lead to his arrest, according to police.
On Thursday, the suspect was arrested in Aurora.
Nawar Khalil, 32, has been charged with sexual assault and three counts of breach of probation.
Police have released another photo of the man and urge any potential victims or those with information to contact the York Regional Police Special Victims Unit, Sexual Assault Section, at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7071, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
