Richmond Hill man among 5 charged in 2022 $400K fraud

A Richmond Hill man is among several people charged by Ontario Provincial Police in relation to a nearly $400,000 fraud investigation involving a Wellington North business.

The business reported that several cheques were stolen in December 2022, and cashed illegally, according to a Wellington County OPP news release.

Istvan Dolanyi, 44, of Richmond Hill, Klauidia Fajko, 26, of Toronto, Anita Lakai, 35, of North York, Elemerne Olah, 63, of North York, and Geoffrey Cowman, 69, of Richmond, B.C. have all been charged with fraud over $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code, police said.
