Police seek young suspect in Bradford sexual assault

The incident occurred in June, when a teenage girl was inappropriately touched behind the water tower on Noble Drive

South Simcoe Police Service officers are issuing a renewed appeal for the public's help in solving a sexual assault in Bradford.

On Monday, June 24, around 4 p.m., a teenage girl was walking on a public path behind the Bradford West Gwillimbury water tower on Noble Drive. An unknown male approached her from behind and inappropriately touched her.

The victim continued walking on the pathway between Noble Drive and Roughley Street and the same male approached her a second time and touched her again. The victim turned and confronted the suspect and called 9-1-1. The suspect fled the area. The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.  

Investigators have conducted a detailed canvass of the area and interviewed a number of witnesses. Police are again asking for any information and security camera video that can help solve this case. Even if you think your information is insignificant, please let us decide. It could be the piece of the puzzle that resolves this investigation.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male
  • Approximately 12-15 years old
  • 5'4"
  • Medium build
  • Light brown complexion or possibly of Asian descent
  • Dark hair
  • Glasses - most likely sunglasses
  • Wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jeans, black shoes with distinctive white bordering on soles
