Police seek witnesses following Richmond Hill shooting

Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking witnesses after a shooting in the Town of Richmond Hill.

On Tuesday, April 4, 2019 shortly after 7:30 p.m., officers were called to Regent Street in the Town of Richmond Hill for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old victim in his vehicle who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life- threatening injuries.

The suspects fled in what is believe to be a black Range Rover.

Elgin Mills Road between Bathurst Street and Yonge Street was closed for several hours but is now open.

Anyone who may have witnessed this incident who has not spoken with investigators is asked to come forward. Investigators are also appealing to any nearby businesses or residences that may have video surveillance, or any drivers who may have dashcam footage to please come forward.
