Police identify deceased victim in Aurora shooting

An Aurora resident who was killed in what police believe was a targeted shooting yesterday has been identified.

York Regional Police said Mohammad-Saeid Boubash, 38, was murdered at a residential home on Stubbs Lane June 12 at about 12:15 p.m. and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A second shooting victim, a 31-year-old Aurora woman, has been released from hospital after being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police do not yet have any information on a suspect or suspects.

“Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to investigators are urged to come forward, along with anyone who has video footage or dashcam recordings from the area around the time of the incident,” police said in a news release.
