Pilot killed in helicopter crash in Stouffville

A pilot was killed in a helicopter crash in a wooded area in Whitchurch-Stouffville this afternoon, York Regional Police is reporting.

The pilot was the only occupant of the aircraft and was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Warden Avenue from St. John's Sideroad to Aurora Road remains closed for the investigation.
