Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are appealing for witnesses after a statue was vandalized in Pierre Elliott Trudeau Park in Vaughan.

On Thursday, June 18, 2020, shortly after noon, York Regional Police were called to Pierre Elliott Trudeau Park, which is located at 60 Promenade Circle, for a report of vandalism. When officers arrived they found that the face of a statue of Pierre Trudeau had been painted black.

Investigators are asking any witnesses, anyone with information or anyone with video surveillance footage in that area to please come forward.
