Pedestrian seriously injured in Georgina collision

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after a serious pedestrian collision in the Town of Georgina.

On Tuesday, March 24, 2020, just before 5:20 a.m., York Regional Police were called to the area of Metro Road and Craigmawr Boulevard for a report of a collision involving a pick-up truck and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 35-year-old man from Georgina, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pick-up truck remained at the scene and was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police or who may have dashcam footage of the incident is asked to come forward.
