A 79-year-old woman is dead after being struck by a pickup truck in Markham Sunday afternoon.
The pedestrian was transported to hospital, where she was pronounced deceased, following the incident at 4 p.m. Dec. 10 at Bur Oak Avenue and McCowan Road, York Regional Police said.
The driver of the white Ford F150 pickup truck did not sustain any physical injuries and remained on scene.
At this time, no charges have been laid, police said.
