Police have arrested one person and are seeking two others in relation to a shooting in Vaughan earlier this month.
On Sept. 10 at about 1:05 a.m., York Regional Police responded to reports of gunshots in a plaza parking lot near a sports bar on Interchange Way near Highway 7. Officers found blood and shell casings at the scene, but no victims.
Police then learned a 20-year-old man with gunshot wounds was dropped off at a hospital in Toronto. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
On Sept. 21, search warrants were executed at places associated with the suspects, and a firearm was seized.
On Sept. 22, Seirra Fray-Cairns, 23, of Toronto, was charged with accessory after the fact.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Danta’e Gordon, 20, and Dequon Lemonious, 25, both of Toronto. Gordon is wanted for using a firearm in the commission of an offence, discharging a firearm with recklessness, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of a firearm.
Lemonious is wanted for possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a prohibited device, possession of a loaded firearm, and possession of a firearm with an altered serial number.
The suspect vehicle involved in the incident is a 2019 to 2023 white Acura RDX.
