Newmarket gas station targeted in late night robbery

The suspect claimed to have a gun and demanded the employee give her money

A Newmarket gas station was the target of a late night robbery on Thursday, Oct. 7. 

The female suspect entered the store at the Petro Canada gas station at 18215 Yonge St. at about 11 p.m., according to Crime Stoppers. 

She showed a note to the employee there that read: “I have a gun. Give me all the cash you have.” 

The suspect then fled on foot and headed south on Yonge Street. 

She is described as a white female, aged 19 to 25 years. She is 5’7 and has a thin build. 

At the time of the robbery she was wearing a grey long sleeve sweatshirt, grey sweat pants and a blue winter hat. She was carrying a Windex spray bottle.
