Man shot, robbed in driveway of Richmond Hill home

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking assistance to identify three suspects following a shooting and a robbery in the City of Richmond Hill.

On Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020, just before 10:30 p.m., police were called to a residence on Blyth Street for a report that a male victim had been shot and robbed in his driveway. When officers arrived, they located the victim inside the home suffering from a serious gunshot injury.

Officers learned that the victim was approached in the driveway by three Black men who exited a black Honda Accord. The victim was robbed of cash and was shot before the suspects fled.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area who have not yet spoken to police, or anyone who may have been driving in the area at the time with a dashcam to please come forward.
