UPDATE: Man injured in Aurora shooting Sunday night

One man was injured and transported to a trauma centre following a shooting in Aurora Sunday night.

The suspects fled in a vehicle following the shooting on Deerglen Terrace, near Bayview Avenue and Wellington Street East, at about 10:45 p.m. Oct. 11, according to York Regional Police.

Police have not released descriptions of the suspects.

When  officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old man in a residence with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Investigators believe the victim was outside his home when he was approached by at least two men who attacked him, police said in a news release. One of the suspects shot the victim, then  fled prior to police arrival. 

The investigation is ongoing.
