Police believe the deaths of three people, including a five-month-old infant, found in a Richmond Hill home last week are a case of intimate partner violence.
On Feb. 1 at about 4:15 p.m., York Regional Police officers were called for a welfare check at a residence near Yonge Street and Carrville Road. When they arrived, they found three people dead in the home. They have been identified as a 41-year-old man, a 36-year-old woman and an infant.
Police believe it is a case of intimate partner violence, and they will not be releasing the names of the deceased at the request of the families. Post-mortem examinations have taken place, but the causes of death are not being released at this time, police said in a news release.
