Handgun pointed at homeowner during home invasion, police say

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking witnesses following a home invasion in the City of Vaughan.

On Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018 shortly after noon, York Regional Police responded to a report of a possible home invasion robbery that was taking place at a house on Airdrie Drive. Investigators have been able to determine that a female was alone in her residence when she heard a loud bang. She then saw two masked men inside her home. One of the men pointed a handgun at her, while the other man ran through the home. The suspects then fled and the victim was not physically injured.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses or anyone that has video surveillance in the area at that time, who has not yet spoken with investigators are encouraged to call police.
