York Regional Police are searching for a suspect wanted in a snowplowing scam.

According to Crime Stoppers of York Region, a man entered the house of an elderly woman by offering snow removal last November. The woman signed a contract and gave the suspect $850 in cash.

The suspect did not return to remove snow from the victim's driveway.

The suspect gave an alias of Ali Ahmad and drove a dark pickup truck.

The suspect was captured on video surveillance along Murray Wilson Boulevard in Markham.

The man is described mid-40s, brown skin, clean shaven, slim build, about 5 foot 7 inches tall.
