Dump truck collides with vehicle on Green Lane near Newmarket

A eastbound lane on Green Lane in East Gwillimbury has been temporarily blocked after a dump truck collided with a silver sedan this afternoon.

The two-vehicle collision took place at Bathurst Street and Green Lane, on the border of Newmarket, at about 1:26 p.m., York Regional Police said.

Police said that the collision is causing traffic backups northbound on Bathurst, in addition to the blocked lane eastbound on Green Lane and that drivers should expect delays and seek an alternative route.

There have been no injuries reported from the collision at this time.
