The driver and a passenger in a Toyota Corolla were killed in an early-morning collision with a Mercedes SUV at Bloomington Road and Ninth Line.
Investigators with the York Regional Police major collision investigation Unit are seeking witnesses to the Jan. 30 collision, which took place at around 6:30 a.m.
Police say a red Corolla and a dark maroon Mercedes SUV were involved in the crash.
Both occupants of the Toyota were pronounced dead at the scene, according to a police news release.
The driver of the Mercedes was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators are appealing to witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the collision or the driving behaviour leading up to collision, to contact them.
