Collision claims life of 52-year-old Markham motorcyclist

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses after a fatal collision in the City of Markham.

On Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, shortly before 3 p.m., York Regional Police were called to the intersection of Rodick Road and Alden Road for a report of a motorcycle that had left the roadway. When officers arrived they located the motorcycle rider, a 52-year-old man from the City of Markham, who was vital signs absent. He was transported to hospital where sadly he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police or who may have dashcam footage of the incident or the driving behavior prior to the collision, is asked to come forward.
