A section of County Rd. 88 in Bradford West Gwillimbury has been closed after a car crash Friday evening, causing “extreme traffic build up,” according to police.

South Simcoe police have not yet released information about whether anyone was injured, what exactly happened, or if anyone was charged.

The road, between 10 Sideroad and McKinstry Road, just east of the Bradford Highway 400 exit, was closed at 4:20 p.m., according to a South Simcoe police tweet.

As of 6:30 p.m., the road was still shut down and the closure was expanded west to 5th Sideroad.
