Break-in suspect damages religious symbols in Vaughan building

The suspect broke the Mezuzahs on door frames in the Steeles office building, according to Crime Stoppers of York Region's crime of the week

A suspect is wanted after being caught on camera attempting to break into offices, and taking religious items off of door frames in the Vaughan building. 

Surveillance footage shows a suspect entering a building at 370 Steeles Ave. West on July 11, according to Crime Stoppers of York Region's crime of the week. 

A man gained entry into the building and attempted to break into offices. He was also seen breaking Mezuzahs, an important Jewish symbol. The Mezuzah is a parchment with verses from the Torah on it, encased and attached to a doorpost. 

The suspect is described as an Asian male with a slim build. He was wearing a blue cap, beige coat, black shirt, blue pants, blue shoes and carrying a yellow shopping bag.
