Aurora OPP charge woman with drunk driving on Highway 404

Markham woman also charged with refusing to take a breath test following collision, OPP say

Aurora OPP arrested and charged a woman on Highway 404 in Markham for impaired driving and refusing a breath test.

OPP said today that a collision occurred at Highway 404 northbound at Highway 7 overnight. A 48-year-old female from Markham was charged on the scene.

The woman faces a 90-day licence suspension, a seven-day vehicle impound and a future court date, OPP said.

Police also warned drivers to be cautious as snow falls across the province.

“Slow down while driving today. Highways and ramps are snow-covered and slippery in many areas,” OPP said on social media.
