A man riding an ATV went through the ice on the Holland River between Line 9 and Line 10 Bradford Saturday afternoon.
He was unable to get out of the water and had to wait on emergency crews for a rescue.
Bradford Fire, Georgina Fire, South Simcoe Police and York Regional Police attended the scene.
YRP Warning the Public - Ice on the Holland River is breaking up & is unsafe to be on. We have rescued 1 ATV operator today who went in to the river and wish to avoid another.

York Regional Police visually located the driver, but the rescue effort was hampered by the lack of road access to his location.
