Armed men flee with drugs, cash following 2 pharmacy robberies

Police believe the same three suspects committed the heists in Richmond Hill and Vaughan on Monday

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking three male suspects and any witnesses following two pharmacy robberies in the City of Vaughan and City of Richmond Hill. 

On Monday, Sept. 19, 2022, at approximately 1:45 p.m., police responded to a pharmacy, located in the area of Chancellor Drive and Fiori Drive, Vaughan for a report of a robbery. Officers learned that three male suspects entered the store, threatened employees with handguns and demanded prescription drugs and money. The suspects obtained various narcotics and cash, then fled from the scene in a silver vehicle.

The employees were not physically injured.

Later that day at approximately 7 p.m., police responded to another pharmacy, located in the area of Yonge Street and Bedford Park Avenue Richmond Hill for a report of a robbery.

Officers learned that three male suspects entered the store, demanding cash and drugs while brandishing handguns. The suspects obtained various narcotics and cash, then fled from the scene in a silver vehicle.

The employees were not physically injured.

Investigators believe the same suspects were involved in both incidents.

The suspects are described as: male, Black, adults, wearing black clothing, gloves and masks.  

Investigators are seeking any witnesses who may have seen anything suspicious in the area or anyone who may have dashcam or video surveillance footage in the area at the time of the incidents, to please come forward.
