70-year-old Georgina man dies after collision with a dump truck

The 21-year-old driver of the dump truck remained on the scene and was uninjured

A Georgina man has died after his vehicle collided with a dump truck in Whitchurch-Stouffville yesterday. 

York Regional Police responded to the area of Bloomington Road west of McCowan Road for reports of a collision involving a dump truck and a white Mitsubishi RVR. 

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 70-year-old man from Georgina, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and died. 

The driver of the dump truck, a 21-year-old, remained on the scene and was uninjured. 

The investigation is ongoing and police are now seeking any witnesses they have not yet spoken with, or anyone with dashcam footage from the crash or that shows driving behaviour leading up to it.
